Apparently, after crunching the numbers, the eggheads at the New York Times finally realized that they could get more revenue from ads, than they could charging for a subscription. Or so the AFP is intimating. Go figure. probably had something to do with the number of stunted deep-link attempts. Way to read your logs, guys! So bye-bye TimesSelect.
And frankly, a welcome turn of affairs. Now I can enjoy all that famous NYT premium content, including select (no pun intended) archived content back to 1981, without having to beg a friend for access to their subscription. Did I just type that?
